Ashton Garrett writes enchanting fantasy filled with found family, ancient magic, and stories that open hidden doors. Raised on bedtime tales spun by her father and grandfather, she fell in love with fantasy at a young age — and spent her college years immersed in the magic, working in Fantasyland at Disneyland.
A coastal girl at heart, Ashton finds inspiration sailing, scuba diving, and walking the beach with her dogs. Her debut series, The Luminara Chronicles, is only the beginning.

A hidden portal. An ancient dragon. A pendant that chose me.
The pendant was a gift. The world it opened was not.
There’s a door in the library that wasn’t there yesterday.
It shimmers. It hums. It smells like somewhere impossible.
I should walk away.
I don’t.
On the other side, the grass sings. The flowers watch me pass. And something in the shadows knows my name.
The only way home is forward — across a bridge made from the bones of every creature who tried before me, through a darkness that devours light, and past a dragon who hasn’t let a single soul pass in centuries.
The pendant is glowing brighter.
I hope it knows something I don’t.
Then I hear it. A whimper. Faint. Desperate. Somewhere deep in the dark.
I’m not alone in here.
Book Two of The Luminara Chronicles.
